Royal Mail Last Posting Dates
Christmas is upon us and we're all rushing to get all our shopping done so we can barricade ourselves into our homes and spend Christmas with our loved ones. Part of the essentials is obviously stocking up on your favourite E Liquid, how can you relax without having a puff on your all day vape?
A Busy Time of the Year
Here a Jumponthevape, we understand how important it is for customers to receive their orders in a timely fashion, previously we have used other methods for deliveries, however we found that Royal Mail was the quickest, and also the most reliable. There's nothing worse than finding a 'we left your parcel in a safe place' note, OR even worse it never arriving at all.
Every year Royal Mail gets incredibly busy over the Christmas period and this year is the busiest they have ever been. Not only is it the Christmas period, but we are also in a pandemic which has caused shops to close, creating a surge in online shopping. The Coronavirus has caused many problems for everyone including Royal Mail, a range of mitigations have been implemented to help manage the effects caused, this includes coronavirus related absences and essential social distancing measures.
Delays During the Pandemic
Royal Mail has advised there is “slightly longer delivery timescales” than normal, after confirming “exceptionally high volumes”. We have personally contacted Royal Mail also for updates as we have had a few instances where deliveries have taken longer than usual. There have been cases of 2nd class shipping taking up to 7 working days, 1 st class taking 4 working days, and orders outside of the UK taking over 14 working days. Please be patient when waiting for your order with us, as we have no control over the delays Royal Mail are experiencing.
We do have a lot of sympathy for Royal Mail, and we appreciate their hard work. Royal Mail have recruited an additional 13,000 temporary roles on top of the usual 20,000 extras they hire for the Christmas period.
Recommended Posting Dates before Christmas
Royal Mail Recommended Posting Dates; please allow plenty of time for posting, particularly for International deliveries. Ongoing Covid restrictions, reduced air, freight capacity, high volumes, and winter weather conditions are all impacting transportation and local delivery.
