Argus GT II Appearance & Design
The Voopoo Argus GT 2 is a tough, powerful and stylish mod kit perfect for cloud chasers.
Voopoo is known for combining leather and metal on the exterior of their devices and the Argus GT 2 is no different here. It is yet another impressively stylish Vape Kit but is that enough evidence you need to decide whether this is the best Vape Kit for you? The device characteristics are similar to it’s predecessor but It’s not always about what’s on the outside. Voopoo is always upgrading their technology to make sure their customers are getting the best possible vape experience from their device.
The Argus GT II still requires 2 x 18650 batteries (Batteries sold separately) but the device now has a max 200 Watt output which is an extra 40 watt than the original. For those that don’t have an external battery charger, have no fear, included in the kit you will find a USB-C Charging Cable. The GT 2 is equipped with a hidden 3A type-C fast charging interface which maintains a stable and safe current. The charging speed is increased by 30% which means you'll spend less time waiting fo your device to finish charging. The 0.96-inch TFT display also displays the charging stats and info so you know exactly how long you have left before you can unplug it.
Maintaining your kit in great condition is now easier than ever. With thanks to the triple protection built in to the Argus GT II, it really is a more reliable vape kit option with its waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof design.
The wizards & designers behind the Argus GT II have put a big focus on the devices protection. Research & Development is something Voopoo is well known for and after thousands of tests, they have created a beast of a mod device. They have selected the leading high-strength metal shell for the device and it has a strong double-layer waterproof, dust-proof, antifreeze and anti-collision features that can easily deal with a variety of extreme outdoor environments. The carefully thought through arc structure design achieves the shockproof performance that all devices should have.
The Argus GT II is IP68 Certified and even has a QS lock feature that helps to protect your batteries and coils last longer by preventing any accidental firings of the mod.
A device’s IP (Ingress Protection) rating refers to how dustproof and waterproof it is - expressed as a 2 digit code:
Dustproof rating (1st digit): is expressed between 1 and 6 - with 1 meaning the device offers no special protection from dust and 6 meaning it is dustproof.
Waterproof rating (2nd digit): is expressed between 1 and 8 - with 1 meaning there is no special protection from water and 8 meaning the device can withstand complete, continuous water submersion.

Voopoo Maat 2ml Sub Ohm Tank
The Matte Tank may not be the newest sub ohm vape tank available on the market but it’s a sturdy tank with some great benefits. The name may sound strange but it’s actually an acronym of “Middle Adjustable Airflow Tank”
Voopoo Maat Features & Specifications
- 2ml TPD compliant capacity
- Resistance Range: 0.05-3.0Ω
- Top-filling
- Volcano Crater Design
- Leak-Proof
- Airflow Improvement
- 2 Upgraded Mesh Coils
- Multi-Layered Tastes
- Prolonged Mesh Lifespan
- Pyrex Glass Container + Stainless Steel
- Size: 26*52mm
The Maat vape tank is TPD Compliant and it can hold up to 2ml of your favourite E Liquid and I love that it is has an easy top fill design. I personally prefer top fill tanks as it is less fiddly and it also helps to prevent any leakages. The first thing you notice with the tank is the size of it. It is possibly one of the largest tanks I’ve owned, initially this did put me off the tank but we need to see how it performs.
The Maat tank as I previously mentioned stands for “Middle Adjustable Airflow Tank, it is fully adjustable which allows you to switch between a loose and a tight inhale. The tank has three airflow inlets in the middle of the tank and it works drawing air through the middle and directing it down to the base of the tank and then through the coil. From using the tank compared to others, you can certainly tell the difference in the vaping experience. The MAAT is the perfect tank for anyone that loves getting the full flavour from their vape juice. The other benefit of having the air inlets so high is that this is another way of preventing any chances of leaks.
The base of the tank adds to the significant size of tank but there is a reason for this. Voopoo has added a ‘semi-faded’ juice storage system, this is essentially a hidden juice well which helps to prevent dry hits and your coil burning out. The base allows your E Liquid to continue flowing through to your coils.
MAAT sub ohm Coils
There is a variety of coils that is available for the Voopoo MAAT sub ohm vape tank.
- 0.13 ohm MT-M1 Single Mesh Coil (60 – 85W)
- 0.2 ohm MT-M2 Dual Mesh Coil (50 – 80W)
- 0.17 ohm MT-M3 Triple mesh coil (65 – 85W)
Replacing the coils is a very easy task and isn't as messy as many other sub ohm tanks. It boasts a simple “Plug and Play” installation which I think really should be an industry standard for all tanks. This style of coils and tanks means there is no chance of coils getting cross threaded when installing, it also means it can't get stuck in he tank because it's been screwed on too tightly.
After plugging the coil back in, it is held in place by 2 O-rings that uses a pressure fit to prevent any leaks.
Final Thoughts
I like the added protection of the Argus GT 2 being IP68 Certified, I can be pretty clumsy with my device, so this level of protection is pretty important for me. Due to its ease of use it's pretty much suitable for anyone, including intermediate to advanced vapers.
The MAAT sub ohm tank I was put off it due to its size but its actually a very well designed tank that fixes the massive issue of leaking. It's an easy tank to use with its plug & play coil installation. The flavour is great and it's a great shout for cloud chasers also.
So if you love flavour, big clouds and are often out of the house for long periods of time, than this Vape kit would be a great choice.
